Motor Marine was established in January 2000. The business evolved into a marine service centre. The marine side of Motor Marine grew slowly but really took off in the summer of 2000 with a high demand for outboard engines. It was not long before Motor Marine secured a deal with renowned engine manufacturers Mariner Engines. Since then the firm has secured additional dealership with reliable producers such as Yamaha, Johnson and Evinrude for the supply and repair of new and used engines.

The background to the Motor Marine partnership between John Sharkey and Paul Bathgate is that John is a marine engineer with over 15 years of experience in the marine industry working a on a variety of vessels and having a vast knowledge of all types of marine engines. Paul is a technical engineer with over 18 years experience working on all types of petrol engines and has expert knowledge in diagnostics and electronic ignition systems.

Motor Marine has also established links with other marine organisations throughout Ireland and is now in a position to supply all types of marine equipment and accessories from a boat to a fender. We hope in the future, to expand with the development of a new premises which will allow the firm to store and winterise boats which are not being used during the winter months. Motor Marine stands by its mission statement of quality work at an affordable price.
